Sylvia Ji

Another really good artist is Sylvia Ji. A lot of people know her famous skeleton women. She was born in 1982, a native of San Francisco.
Some of her painting is the symbolic reflections of herself. She currently resides in Southern California.

I like her works because it is interesting to look at the beautiful women with scary “makeup”. I like how she combines beauty and fear. I like the emotions on the women’s faces (horror or evil). For me, the meaning of her works is that having a beautiful or pretty face doesn’t mean that people are beautiful inside.

For example, look at the woman in the national dress with a pretty face and unfriendly eyes. Maybe the signs on her face mean something. Let’s think about it. The broken heart and tears could mean that her boyfriend betrayed her or something and she cried a lot because of it. The spider web could mean that she is like an insect in the web. Trapped.
